On this Episode :

We explore the windy city – Chicago – over the course of the Memorial Day Weekend, 2015.  This includes a stop at Giordano’s – a Chicago institution, famous for its stuffed pizza. (They ship pizzas anywhere in the United States starting for around $60.)  We also visit The Signature Room Lounge at the John Hancock Center, which offers great views of the city all for the cost of a drink at the bar. Alternatively, you can spend about $10 more and get access to the building’s public observatory a couple floors below.

Episode 43 – Join the Studio Audience

This is the sixth of seven episodes from my travel podcast series, Boarding Call.  It was originally published on May 21, 2015.

About this Episode :

David Letterman walked off the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater for the final time the week this episode was recorded – and like a lot of people, I was reflecting on how Dave made an impact in my life and career.  And thinking about him isn’t complete without thinking about that cold Monday back in 2011 when Chris and I went to be part of the studio audience for The Late Show.

Being in the audience of a TV show is a unique experience – and if you have travel planned to any of the major entertainment/media capitals of the world (LA, New York, London, Toronto), it’s definitely an experience worth exploring.

On this episode of Boarding Call, I give you the skinny on how to get your hands on tickets to attend a taping of a TV show.

Episode 40 – Honeymoon in New Zealand

This is the third of seven episodes from my original travel podcast series, Boarding Call.  This episode was originally published April 17, 2016.

Our Guests

Kim Schmidt and André Mougeot had one request of their family and friends who came to celebrate their wedding.  Rather than bring gifts of toasters and wine glasses and other typical goods, all they asked was for a little help in making their honeymoon dream come true – an adventure to New Zealand.

The couple had an amazing adventure in NZ, getting to experience a number of thrills.  This is definitely not sitting on a sandy beach for seven nights at an all-inclusive!
